Commute Another Way Day

June 15, 2005

As you probably know, Bicycle Coalition of Maine members have been longtime supporters of this important event since 1995.  With your help, they have been able to reach out to more than 50,000 Maine commuters each year with the message that biking, walking, transit, carpools and vanpools not only save money, but reduce traffic and pollution and make our cities and towns more livable.  This year, by working together, BCM hopes to eliminate 6,000 auto-trips, 62,000 audto-miles, 1.65 tons of pollution and $32,000 in commuting costs ... in a single day.  For more information, go to http://www.gomaine.org/cawday/index.html.
